The Open House 2024 initiative returns to Milan on 25 and 26 May, opening the doors of historic and contemporary buildings, usually inaccessible to the public, for a weekend of architectural exploration. Among the featured districts, Brera stands out with a rich programme of guided tours offering a privileged look at some of its hidden gems.
Caselli 11 – 12: This building, located at the entrance of the district, represents a fascinating example of historic Milanese architecture. During Open House, visitors can explore the refined interiors, discovering the history and architectural evolution of these spaces that once served as customs houses.
Courtyards of Palazzo Buonaparte: This palace in Foro Buonaparte 54 and 56, normally closed to the public, opens its magnificent courtyards. Guests will have the opportunity to admire the Renaissance architecture and artistic details that tell the story of one of Milan’s most influential families. The elegantly restored facades invite visitors to delve into the new courtyards inspired by the noble Milanese gardens of the past, with geometric flower beds, palms, maples, and a pond for aquatic plants and greenery of various species.
