Chiesa di San Fedele

Piazza San Fedele, 4
Clerici - La Scala

The church of San Fedele is a Catholic church in Milan, built in the sixteenth century by order of St. Charles Borromeo to house the Society of Jesus. Because of the structure's adherence to the Instructiones of San Carlo Borromeo, as well as the wide range of quotations from famous architectural models of the past and the many subsequent churches that draw from the church, San Fedele is considered the reference model for the sacred architecture of the art of the Counter-Reformation.
