A space for relationships and innovation
Florim, a leading company in the production of ceramic surfaces, has recently collaborated with architect Matteo Nunziati to redesign its Flagship Store in the Brera district of Milan. The new concept was developed to meet the contemporary needs of visitors, emphasising the “relationship” between people through innovative and welcoming design.
The project, realised in a 1000-square-metre space visible through the 13 windows of the Flagship, stands out for its ability to facilitate collaboration among designers, architects, and Florim staff. Architect Nunziati highlighted that “a great design and architecture project is the perfect fusion of two fundamental aspects: a concrete and measurable reality and an emotional reality.“
The main entrance from Foro Buonaparte leads visitors into an area with large work tables, reminiscent of a creative workshop, encouraging sharing and interaction. This space, with large screens integrated into the work tables, allows professionals and Florim consultants to refine every aesthetic and technical aspect of their projects.
The large ceramic surfaces, a distinctive element of Florim, envelop the entire space, creating an inspiring and stimulating atmosphere. Plays of natural and artificial light highlight the products on display, offering an experience similar to that of a museum. Additionally, scenic screens separate the co-working area from the lounge bar, a convivial environment where relationships can develop in an informal setting.
The exhibition space overlooking via Sacchi demonstrates the versatility of Florim surfaces, applied in both contract and residential contexts. This shows how ceramics can transform spaces with innovative solutions that go beyond traditional flooring and cladding uses.
The Flagship Store also includes a conference area, equipped with a large screen, designed to host workshops and discussions on design. This area is conceived to combine discretion and functionality, adapting to the needs of various events.
In the basement, there is a “technical area” equipped with advanced tools to support design. Here, it is possible to consult the entire range of Florim products, offering complete support to designers.
With over 60 years of experience, Florim stands out for its passion for beauty and design. The company, led by Claudio Lucchese, son of the founder Giovanni Lucchese, is rooted in the Italian ceramic district but is also an international trendsetter. With more than 1,450 employees and a turnover of 470 million euros, Florim is present in the main world capitals of architecture and design with its brands FLORIM, CEDIT, and FLORIM stone.
Florim not only represents the excellence of “Made in Italy” but also obtained B Corp certification in 2020 and has been a member of Altagamma since 2022. The company continues to pursue quality, innovation, and sustainability, transforming the value known as “Made in Italy” into “Made in Florim.”
