A historic building demolished
The church was built around 1630 next to the Fatebenefratelli hospital, founded in 1588 by the Archbishop of Milan, Gaspare Visconti.
It was located between what is now Corso di Porta Nuova and Via Fatebenefratelli.
Unfortunately, the church, like the old hospital building, was demolished in 1937 after the unification of Italy.
It was richly decorated with statues and had a single central entrance surmounted by a large window.
There were also many prominent frescoes and four marble altars.
Unfortunately, it is not known where the artefacts ended up after the demolition.
