BROOT presents Dialogues, a collection that explores the potential of Portuguese natural stone through the dialogue between design, art, and sustainability.
With a confirmed presence at Milan Design Week from April 7 to 13, the “Dialogues” collection is heading to Milan to represent the Broot project at one of the world’s leading design events. Comprising unique design pieces, it will make a significant contribution to promoting Portuguese natural stone in the international market.
Broot – Dialogues from Within is the latest project led by ASSIMAGRA, aimed at enhancing traditional materials and their origins, with Portuguese natural stone as the central element.
Created to diversify this sector’s export potential and project the national industry, Broot stands out for its experimental approach, placing stone in dialogue with different sustainable materials from various regions of the country. At its core, it functions as a laboratory of innovation and creativity, fostering new partnerships and collections of original design pieces, developed with great pride.

Titled “Dialogues”, the first Broot Collection is curated and produced by OLIVAH and emerges from the dialogue between designers, artists, and architects with different contemporary artistic visions, including Studio Anansi, Studio Olivah, Vítor Reis Cerâmica, JMM Design Studio, and Estúdio Eneida Lombe Tavares.
Although it consists of 25 pieces from individual collections, only five will be exhibited at Milan Design Week, a key event for design professionals.
More than just amplifying recognition of Portugal’s high-quality natural stone worldwide, the “Dialogues” collection invites audiences to discover the stories and traditions of our country through unique pieces. After this event, these works will continue to be showcased in international events such as NYCxDESIGN and Expo 2025 Osaka.
