Carlo Grassi, the Brera framer

An activity celebrating 100 years

The Grassi Cornici shop has been open since 1925, exactly 100 years.

But its origins are much older, in fact the shop was born in the second half of the 19th century, always as a glassmaker, framer and housewares maker. However, it was called “Castelli”.

Carlo Grassi, with the help of his sons Eraldo and Pietro, bought it in 1925, the activity was then carried on only by his son Pietro.

A family-run shop, Pietro was succeeded by his sons Carlo and Enrico.

Today, Enrico’s son, Marcello, carries on the business and the family name, one of the best known in Milan and Brera.

It creates handcrafted frames, in all styles and in all materials, satisfying the needs and requests of customers.
