The world’s most pop fruit at the most pop event of MDW

Art, technology, and interaction come together to turn the Chiquita banana into a pop experience at Milan Design Week 2025.

Pop Art is, by definition, a democratic and accessible form of art. That’s why the Chiquita House is an open, colorful, and inclusive space where people can experience art in a spontaneous and interactive way.

After the success of the 2024 edition, created in collaboration with Brazilian NeoPop artist Romero Britto, the event returns in 2025 with a brand-new look, starting with an artistic partnership with Sebastian Curi. As part of the Pop by Nature campaign, the Argentine artist brings his unique vision to the pop soul of the Chiquita banana. In the Chiquita House, his art merges with immersive, analog, and digital experiences, creating a phygital space dedicated to sharing.

The characters from Seba Curi’s campaign artwork step from the canvas into the installation space, becoming interactive figures that visitors can engage with—a playful celebration of our everyday connection with nature through the world’s most pop fruit. Technology enhances this experience even further. Thanks to an interactive Kinect®-powered installation, visitors can transform into a Chiquita banana and watch as their movements are mirrored by a digital avatar.

The experience also features games, gadgets, and the opportunity to use AI to generate and print a personalized Blue Sticker. All delivered in true Chiquita style: fun, colorful, and naturally pop.
