This historic shop, now known for years as "Bottega Storica", was founded in 1881 by Francesco Pettinaroli, when he moved from Lake Orta to Milan. It was immediately born as a stationery shop with annexed printing and bookbinding workshop and in a short time it became known by the Milanese who were experiencing times of intense industrial development and perhaps were looking for such a shop in the industrious Milan, right next to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the modern and monumental "living room" of the city, definitely completed only 4 years before.
Precious papers, accurate and elegant workmanship, high-class stationery have conquered the Milanese who have never abandoned Pettinaroli since then and in the following 135 years of activity, entrusting him with the printing of all their most important events: births, communions, weddings. Here they have created invitations, commercial and private writing papers, business cards of every kind made with the most refined printing techniques.
