A solo exhibition by Davide Romano presents works created between 2020 and 2026, reflecting his hyperrealist research. The artist explores the illusion of photography through drawing, using pencil, charcoal, and graphite.
The black-and-white works combine Italian drawing traditions with influences from Japanese prints, portraiture, and tattoo art. The highly expressive faces convey emotions and memories through a strong visual and emotional intensity.

The exhibition presents Arseny Zhilyaev’s recent research through works that explore the relationship between memory, information, and contemporary reality. At the heart of the project is the series Behind the Fog of War There Is Always Pain, in which newspapers marked by current events are progressively covered with layers of white paint, transforming into suspended archives between documentation and erasure.
Through the act of concealing and revealing, the artist reflects on the fragility of truth, the weight of war, and the responsibility of the viewer’s gaze. The exhibition offers a journey through history, language, and imagination, inviting visitors to engage with the contradictions of the present.

The group exhibition by the School of New Technologies of Art at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera brings together twenty artists and collectives reflecting on how the visual arts have responded to the rise of digital technologies over the past twenty-five years.
The title reworks the idea of “user-friendly”: the participating artists are “users” of digital technologies, but in a critical and deliberately “unfriendly” way. Rather than passively adopting tools as designed, they question, bend and expose their hidden mechanisms, developing autonomous and resistant forms of expression.
The exhibition will be closed from August 9 through August 15

A traveling painter between Leonardo and Giorgione. For the first time, an exhibition traces the career of one of the most original artists working in Italy during the decades spanning the 1500s.
The exhibition captures the complexity of this artist through 46 works by him and by artists such as Bramantino, Alvise Vivarini, Giovanni Bellini, Giorgione, and Dürer, housed at Brera and on loan from museums including the Musée du Louvre in Paris, the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Galleria Borghese in Rome, the Museo del Prado in Madrid, and the National Gallery in London.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the 1946 institutional referendum, the Museo del Risorgimento presents an exhibition divided into two complementary sections, featuring archival documents, artworks, and objects from its collections that are usually not on public display.
The exhibition explores, on the one hand, women’s contribution to the Risorgimento struggles, highlighting their involvement in movements for freedom from the early conspiracies through to the campaigns leading to Italian unification; on the other, it examines the theme of women’s suffrage through historical materials, original documents, and objects from the museum’s storerooms, offering also an opportunity to reinterpret the history of the museum and its collections.
