The predecessor of Palazzo Parigi
What we know today as Palazzo Parigi, a luxury hotel with around 100 rooms that opened in 2013, stands on the ashes and on the site where Palazzo Kramer once stood.
Palazzo Kramer was an 18th-century noble palace that existed when the canal was still uncovered and ran along Via Fatebenefratelli.
Unfortunately, it was destroyed during the bombings of the Second World War, and in the early 1970s, a building owned by a famous banking institution was built in its place.
Today, what perhaps remains of the original complex, albeit renovated, are the gardens, which have offered an oasis of relaxation for over a century in the heart of the city.
