Italgraniti presents two installations that blend sustainability, aesthetics, and functionality into an immersive experience.
On the occasion of Milan Design Week, the Italgraniti Flagship Store welcomes a new concept, showcasing two unprecedented installations: the indoor setup Italgraniti Library and the outdoor installation Urban-Lego, both designed by art directors Andrea Parisio and Giuseppe Pezzano. These two projects transform the interaction with materials and space, making the visitor the protagonist of the experience.
Italgraniti Library: the indoor installation, a temple of material
Inspired by the geometry of the circle, Italgraniti Library pays homage to ancient libraries as temples of knowledge, celebrating the beauty and versatility of ceramics and transforming into a place of learning dedicated to ceramic materials.
The distinctive element is the “open shelf”, a true amphitheater of colors and surfaces where visitors can pick up samples to explore textures and shades. At the center, a large circular table invites the creation of personalized mood boards, making the search for materials an immersive and intuitive experience. The slabs are elegantly arranged along circular wooden walls, creating a solemn and welcoming atmosphere.
Urban-Lego: the outdoor installation, modular urban furniture
Urban-Lego introduces a new concept of urban furniture. The project consists of three modular elements—a bike rack, a seat, and a module for plants/trees—that can be combined to create functional and welcoming public spaces.
The linear platform serves as an equipped barrier between the street and the exhibition area, providing a resting and relaxation space. The design, made with the Origins stone-effect collection by Italgraniti, ensures elegance and durability, while porcelain stoneware guarantees longevity and easy maintenance.
The idea behind Urban-Lego is that of a “filter oasis” that enhances the quality of urban space, with adaptable and updatable modules to meet the ever-evolving needs of the city. With Italgraniti Library and Urban-Lego, Italgraniti presents two complementary visions that merge sustainability, innovation, and design. These two installations transform ceramic material and space into tools of creativity and functionality, offering a unique experience within the Brera Design District.
