Designing the Coffee Modbar’s Espresso Atelier Lands in Brera Ritual

Modbar presents Espresso Atelier, an installation that transforms the coffee experience with undercounter systems in a minimalist design, focusing on interaction and the aesthetics of space.

At the intersection of design culture and hospitality innovation, Modbar arrives at Brera Design Week 2025 with a bold installation: the Espresso Atelier. Known for its under-counter espresso systems that strip away the traditional machine bulk, Modbar offers an open, minimal aesthetic—ideal for architects, designers, and hospitality leaders rethinking the modern café experience.

Located at Via Ciovasso 11 (each day from 10 am – 7 pm), the Atelier reimagines the bar as a space of connection. Without visual obstructions, the espresso machine becomes invisible—elevating human interaction and visual harmony. It’s a setting where form doesn’t just follow function, it refines it.

Visitors are invited to step inside a thoughtfully curated environment that celebrates both performance and presence. Every material choice and design gesture speaks to spatial clarity, tactile beauty, and the ritual of hospitality. Think metal and texture—and a coffee bar that blends seamlessly into it all.

Throughout the week, featured guests and partners  will guide visitors through tastings and demonstrations. Modbar’s Espresso Atelier is more than a pop-up—it’s an invitation to explore how coffee design can shape the spaces we live, work, and gather in.
