Poltrona Frau

In 1912, Sardinian-born entrepreneur Renzo Frau registered the Poltrona Frau trademark with the Turin Chamber of Commerce. Following a series of generational transitions, in 1962 the Nazareno Gabrielli group purchased the Turin-based company, which a year later moved to Tolentino. In the 1980s, the company expanded its production, looking to the automotive and contract worlds.
In 2004 the company became Poltrona Frau Group together with Cassina and Cappellini. In 2014 the Haworth family acquired the Poltrona Frau Group, promoting all the values of the brand. In 2019 the Poltrona Frau Group becomes Lifestyle Design Group and today also includes the companies Ceccotti Collezioni, Janus et Cie, Luminaire, Karakter, Luxury Living Group, Interni and Zanotta.
