Carlo Maria Mariani. L’eternità della pittura is the artist’s first major posthumous retrospective and traces the entire span of his artistic production, from his earliest works of the 1940s to works created in 2019.
Curated by Eike Schmidt, Clayton Calvert and Vincenzo Trione, the exhibition presents approximately 70 works, including paintings and large-scale drawings, spanning conceptual Neoclassicism, Hyperrealism, Abstraction and Metaphysical painting.
The works, drawn from Italian and international collections, bring together pieces from different museum collections.
