A landmark for Milan since 1967
The story of Mr. and Mrs. Maggi, Arturo and Maria, who decided to buy a small bar in Via San Marco 24 more than 50 years ago, not yet knowing that it would become a landmark for many Milanese and a timeless icon of the Brera district.
An old-time salon, sincere and genuine, intimate and reserved with its old Milan style furnishings and iconic blue and white tiles, never changed over the years. A corner of Milan uncontaminated by worldliness, modernity and frenzy where you can sit with friends and get a little closer to tradition, to cuisine with simple flavours.
Only a year ago they had announced its closure, causing a great void, but the echo of its reopening – now confirmed – has rekindled hope in the hearts of the Milanese.
The Loro Piana family will be at the helm, but nothing will change in either the appearance or the cuisine, we will always find Arturo and Maria to welcome us and it will be just like coming home.
