Thirtyone Design + Management and Insula delle Rose present a site-specific installation at Milan Design Week 2025, exploring the theme of identity in the digital age.
The installation, Moltiplicatori d’Identità, set up at Via Goito 3, Brera, invites the public to reflect on the fragmentation of the self. Mirrored surfaces multiply and distort the viewer’s image, creating a play of reflections that simulates the alteration of identity in social networks. Here, the self dissolves between filters and projections, prompting visitors to question who they truly are.
The project examines the impact of social and digital changes on identity construction. “With this installation, we aim to spark a debate on a highly relevant issue,” says Claudia Campone, founder of Thirtyone Design + Management. The project is supported by the Osservatorio Nazionale Adolescenza, which highlights how self-construction is increasingly shaped by the gaze of others.
Created using recycled materials provided by N-Hub, the installation promotes sustainability and features yellow—a colour symbolising hope and emotional connection.
