At Milan Design Week 2024, Porsche makes a spectacular return with a unique celebration of pattern with \u201cThe Pattern of Dreams\u201d<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Pattern, repetition, and symmetry are at the forefront of Porsche\u2019s return to Milan Design Week, premiering \u201cThe Pattern of Dreams\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 the fifth iteration of the travelling art and design series \u201cThe Art of Dreams.\u201d  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First conceptualized in 2021 in Paris, \u201cThe Art of Dreams\u201d has travelled to major art festivals, inviting artists to physically realize their take on the motif of dreams. This year, art collective Numen\/For Use<\/strong> \u2013 led by product designers Sven Jonke, Christoph Katzler, and\u00a0 Nikola Radeljkovic, together with Croatian architect and scenographer Ivana Jonke \u2013 has created a monumental immersive artwork<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cLines of Flight\u201d<\/strong>, inspired by the iconic pepita pattern first exhibited in the Porsche 356 and later in the Porsche 911.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur idea of a waking dream was always one of a habitable utopia, of an alternative space and a speculative way of life\u201d,<\/em> says Numen\/ For Use. \u201cLines of Flight\u201d echoes this sentiment in its construction: a lightweight system of thin metal cells forming multiple black and white net structures resembling a flock of birds frozen mid-flight \u2013 a vivid image they saw within the monochromatic diagonals of the  pepita pattern.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motivi geometrici, ripetizione e simmetria sono la cifra del ritorno di Porsche alla Milano Design Week, dove sar\u00e0 presentata \u201cThe Pattern of Dreams\u201d<\/strong>, quinta tappa della serie itinerante di arte e design \u201cThe Art of Dreams<\/strong>\u201d. Installata per la prima volta nel 2021 a Parigi, \u201cThe Art of Dreams\u201d \u00e8 stata portata a grandi eventi artistici per invitare gli artisti a dare fisicamente forma alla loro versione del tema dei sogni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quest\u2019anno il collettivo d\u2019arte Numen\/For Use<\/strong>, guidato dai designer del prodotto Sven Jonke, Christoph Katzler e Nikola Radeljkovi\u0107, ha creato, in collaborazione con l\u2019architetta e scenografa croata Ivana Jonke, una monumentale opera d\u2019arte immersiva,<\/strong> \u201cLines of Flight\u201d<\/strong>, traendo ispirazione dall\u2019iconico motivo \u201cPepita\u201d, impiegato per la prima volta nella Porsche 356 e successivamente nella Porsche 911.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLa nostra idea di un sogno a occhi aperti \u00e8 sempre stata quella di un\u2019utopia abitabile, di uno spazio alternativo e di un modo di vivere astratto<\/em>\u201d, spiega Numen\/For Use. \u201cLines of Flight\u201d<\/strong> riecheggia questo concetto nella sua costruzione, un leggero sistema di sottili moduli di metallo che fanno da base ad un intreccio di reti in bianco e nero, simile a uno stormo di uccelli congelati in volo: una vivida immagine che i designer hanno visto nelle diagonali monocromatiche del motivo \u201cPepita\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
