Chapter I: On the Plaid<\/em> is devoted to the plaid as a central element of the interior vocabulary. Since the mid-1980s, plaids, alongside scarves, were among the House\u2019s first finished products. From the beginning, they have served as a field of experimentation, where materials and weaving techniques could be explored with creative freedom and precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studies<\/em> approaches interior design through focused case studies, each examining a specific object, function or use, and reflects the ethos of the House through the study of its processes. Conceived as an evolving framework, it unfolds over time through distinct chapters and new fields of exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this first chapter, the scenography is structured as a passage. Visitors encounter a series of twenty-four plaids, each presented as an individual study. The display adopts a curatorial language, focusing on the finished pieces while revealing the raw material from which it originates: fibre and yarn. Central to Loro Piana\u2019s identity, these elements are shown alongside the processes that transform them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Historic symbols and graphic elements sourced from the House archives reappear throughout the selection, translated into contemporary compositions. Variations in colour, pattern, texture and construction reveal the breadth of Loro Piana\u2019s savoir-faire<\/em> through singular forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capitolo I: Sul Plaid<\/em> \u00e8 dedicato al plaid come elemento centrale del vocabolario dell\u2019abitare. Dalla met\u00e0 degli anni '80, i plaid, insieme alle sciarpe, sono stati tra i primi prodotti finiti della Maison<\/em>. Fin dall'inizio, sono serviti come campo di sperimentazione, dove materiali e tecniche di tessitura potevano essere esplorati con libert\u00e0 creativa e precisione. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studies<\/em> approccia l'interior design attraverso approfondimenti mirati, ciascuno incentrato sull\u2019analisi di un oggetto, di una funzione o di un uso specifico, e riflette l'etica della Maison<\/em> attraverso lo studio dei suoi processi. Concepito come una struttura in evoluzione, si sviluppa nel tempo attraverso capitoli distinti e nuovi campi di esplorazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per questo primo capitolo, la scenografia si sviluppa come un percorso. I visitatori incontrano una serie di ventiquattro plaid, ognuno presentato come uno studio individuale. L'esposizione adotta un linguaggio curatoriale, concentrandosi sui pezzi finiti e rivelando al contempo la materia prima da cui hanno origine: fibra e filato. Centrali per l\u2019identit\u00e0 di Loro Piana, questi elementi vengono mostrati insieme ai processi che li trasformano.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
