With \u201cThe Private Lives of Objects\u201d Flexform presents its new indoor and outdoor collections at its showroom on Via della Moscova and in the nearby Sant\u2019Angelo cloister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two installations invite us to step beyond the visible in order to explore the secret narrative that binds people to the things around them; to perceive every piece as a silent protagonist within an intimate and personal sphere \u2013 within a relationship unfolding in quiet equilibrium, shaped by habits and shared emotions.
Because, ultimately, design can truly be an extension of identity. To perceive the \u201cprivate life\u201d of objects is to look beyond function. Materials cease to be surfaces; they become traces. A sofa does not simply occupy space \u2013 it holds the echo of conversations, noting absences and returns.This is the purpose of the new Quincy seating system which, Antonio Citterio explains, \u201cstems from a reflection on the role of the sofa in contemporary spaces<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le due installazioni invitano a varcare la soglia del visibile per indagare la narrazione segreta che lega l\u2019uomo alle cose e percepire ogni oggetto come protagonista silenzioso di un racconto intimo e personale, in un equilibrio costruito su abitudini ed emozioni condivise.
Perch\u00e9 il design pu\u00f2 essere davvero un\u2019estensione della nostra identit\u00e0. Riconoscere la \u201cvita privata\u201d delle cose significa quindi guardare oltre la loro funzione: i materiali smettono di essere superfici e diventano traccia. Un divano non occupa lo spazio ma trattiene l\u2019eco delle conversazioni, registra assenze e ritorni. Questa la funzione del nuovo sistema di sedute Quincy nato, come spiega l\u2019architetto Antonio Citterio, \"da una riflessione sul ruolo del divano nello spazio contemporaneo\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pensato per diventare il fulcro dello spazio, Quincy abbandona le linee ortogonali per esplorare una forma organica, capace di ridefinire con forte personalit\u00e0 il progetto dell\u2019ambiente living. \u201cLa scelta di una configurazione curvilinea\u201d <\/em>precisa l\u2019architetto \u201cintroduce una dimensione pi\u00f9 fluida e conviviale del living, pur mantenendo una chiara impostazione architettonica.
