15 curated works for Milan Design Week 2026 will showcase the nation\u2019s distinctive design approach, exploring innovative responses to pressing global challenges across living and world-making<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The DesignSingapore Council <\/strong>returns to Milan Design Week with Prototype Island<\/em><\/strong> <\/strong>at Foro Buonaparte 54 <\/strong>in the Brera Design District (21\u201326 April 2026). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prototype Island<\/em> is an all-new concept for the 2026 edition, following its successful Future Impact<\/em> series, that showcases the nation as a living prototype – continuously evolving, optimising and working to solve global challenges through ground-breaking design and technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition unites established and emerging designers all based in Singapore, providing unique insight into the future-proof design solutions being ideated today in one of the world\u2019s leading design nations. Each one has been carefully selected by lead curator Hunn Wai <\/strong>(Lanzavecchia + Wai), and assistant curator Eian Siew, <\/strong>both of whom were a part of Future Impact 3: DESIGN NATION<\/em> in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Foro Buonaparte 54, visitors will encounter future-focused ideas that respond to the challenges of an increasingly globalised world, highlighting Singapore\u2019s reputation for bold thinking, creativity and action at scale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors are greeted by an installation designed by Lanzavecchia + Wai that introduces the 15 works, brought together across three compelling themes: exploring modern challenges through experimentation with technology and materiality; rethinking how craft can be preserved and advanced alongside innovative interpretations of care systems; and reshaping the future of urban living.<\/p>\n","protected":false,"raw":"\n\n\n

Prototype Island<\/em> \u00e8 un concept completamente nuovo per l\u2019edizione 2026, che segue il successo della serie Future Impact<\/em> e presenta la nazione come un \u201cprototipo vivente\u201d \u2014 in continua evoluzione, capace di ottimizzarsi e di affrontare le sfide globali attraverso design e tecnologie all\u2019avanguardia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La mostra riunisce designer affermati ed emergenti, tutti basati a Singapore, offrendo uno sguardo unico su soluzioni progettuali orientate al futuro, ideate oggi in una delle principali nazioni del design a livello globale. I partecipanti sono stati selezionati con cura dal curatore principale Hunn Wai <\/strong>(Lanzavecchia + Wai) e dalla curatrice assistente Eian Siew<\/strong>, entrambi gi\u00e0 coinvolti in Future Impact 3: DESIGN NATION<\/em> nel 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
