A love story since 1979 that we will miss dearly<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The historic La Libera restaurant, in the heart of the Brera district, had recently changed management. It was one of those changes that is difficult to get used to, but over time, little by little, you learn to accept it, and just the fact that the authenticity of the place has been preserved helps you relive the good times of the past and welcome new ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, last December, Italo Manca, the soul and creator of this fantastic journey, left us. Since then, Brera has lost something of itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We therefore wish to pay tribute to him by remembering the history of one of the district’s iconic places, which we are delighted to have known and loved so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was 1979 when Gino Narducci left the historic family trattoria \u2018La Vittoria\u2019 to start a new project, supported by Italo Manca, initially a collaborator and partner, and soon a friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how La Libera, located at Via Palermo 21, came to be: a brewery with a kitchen serving typical, home-style dishes \u2014 nothing too elaborate \u2014 accompanied by a selection of Northern European beers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Risotto al salto, cotoletta alla milanese, pasta al pomodoro: simple, unpretentious dishes, ideal for a quick lunch, capable of making anyone feel at home. Completing the experience is the warm welcome from Gino and Italo and the restaurant’s \u201ccult\u201d dish, Il Liberato, a beer risotto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italo Manca was a distinctive character in the district; everyone knew him, and his style and impeccable outfits never went unnoticed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo storico ristorante La Libera, nel cuore del distretto di Brera, aveva da poco cambiato gestione. Uno di quei cambiamenti a cui si fa fatica ad abituarsi ma che col tempo, pian piano, si impara ad accettare e solo il fatto di mantenere l\u2019autenticit\u00e0 del luogo aiuta a rivivere i bei momenti passati e ad accoglierne di nuovi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuttavia, lo scorso dicembre, Italo Manca, l\u2019anima e l\u2019artefice di questo fantastico viaggio, ci ha lasciati. Da allora, Brera ha perso qualcosa di s\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vogliamo quindi rendergli omaggio ricordando la storia di uno dei luoghi iconici del distretto e che con grande affetto siamo felici di aver conosciuto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Era il 1979 quando Gino Narducci lasci\u00f2 la storica trattoria di famiglia \u201cLa Vittoria\u201d per dare vita a un nuovo progetto, affiancato da Italo Manca, inizialmente collaboratore e socio, e presto amico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nasce cos\u00ec La Libera, in via Palermo 21: una birreria con cucina, fatta di piatti tipici e casalinghi \u2014 nulla di troppo elaborato \u2014 accompagnati da una selezione di birre del Nord Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il risotto al salto, la cotoletta alla milanese, la pasta al pomodoro: piatti semplici e senza pretese, ideali anche per un pranzo veloce, capaci di far sentire chiunque a casa. A completare l\u2019esperienza, la calorosa accoglienza di Gino e Italo e il piatto \u201ccult\u201d del locale, Il Liberato, un risotto alla birra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italo Manca era quel personaggio caratteristico del distretto, tutti lo conoscevano, ed il suo stile ed i suoi impeccabili outfit non sono mai passati inosservati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
