On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, which concluded on April 13, Abet Laminati was present in various locations throughout the city and within the Fair, alongside major national and international design brands. As a preview, it introduced Hachure<\/em>, a new collection of decorative surfaces designed by Pierre Charpin<\/strong>, an undisputed master in the international landscape of art and design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The installation that showcased the collection was presented by 44SPAZIO<\/strong>, a venue rich in art and design, located in the heart of Milan. Throughout the year, the space hosts the works of its owner, George Sowden, one of the founding members of the iconic Memphis Group and one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. His innovative approach\u2014blending aesthetics and functionality\u2014has left an indelible mark on the design world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Hachure<\/em> collection for Abet Laminati, Pierre Charpin proposed a remarkable synthesis between two visual worlds: the line and the full fill<\/strong>. Influenced by his childhood spent in his father’s typographic workshop, Charpin created designs where lines intersected and overlapped, differentiated as bold, regular, and light\u2014terms borrowed from typography. The result was a rigorous design, a wide-knit texture that also evolved into denser compositions, appearing from a distance as a continuous and uniform surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Color also played a central role<\/strong>: from monochromatic treatments to vibrant intersections of colored lines, the outcome surprised with its visual dynamism, revealing a design that was only seemingly simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each pattern in the collection, produced using digital printing, was offered in various colorways, each composed of lines with different thicknesses and orientations. In occasione del Salone del Mobile e del Fuorisalone, Abet Laminati \u00e8 stata presente in diverse location della citt\u00e0 e all\u2019interno della Fiera, accanto a importanti brand del design nazionale e internazionale. In anteprima, ha presentato Hachure<\/strong><\/em>, una nuova collezione di decorativi progettata da Pierre Charpin<\/strong>, figura di riferimento nel panorama internazionale tra design e arte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019installazione dedicata alla collezione \u00e8 stata ospitata da 44SPAZIO<\/strong>, luogo ricco di arte e design nel cuore di Milano. Durante l\u2019anno, questo spazio accoglie le opere del proprietario George Sowden, membro fondatore dell\u2019iconico Memphis Group e tra i designer pi\u00f9 influenti del XX secolo, noto per il suo approccio innovativo che fonde estetica e funzionalit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hachure<\/em><\/strong>, <\/strong>termine che in italiano significa \u201ctratteggio\u201d, ha rappresentato un intenso studio della decorazione superficiale<\/strong>, in cui le linee si trasformano in fitte trame colorate dando vita a nuovi archetipi geometrici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charpin ha proposto una raffinata sintesi tra due elementi visivi fondamentali: la linea e la campitura piena<\/strong>. L\u2019influenza della sua infanzia trascorsa nell\u2019atelier del padre ha preso forma in disegni in cui le linee si intersecano e si sovrappongono in tre varianti \u2013 bold, medium e light \u2013 in un chiaro richiamo alla terminologia tipografica. Il risultato \u00e8 stato un disegno rigoroso, una trama a maglia larga che si \u00e8 sviluppata anche in composizioni pi\u00f9 fitte, tanto che, a distanza, l\u2019insieme assumeva l\u2019aspetto di una superficie uniforme e continua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anche il colore ha avuto un ruolo centrale<\/strong>: dalla monocromia si \u00e8 passati a sovrapposizioni di linee ricche di tonalit\u00e0 diverse, dando vita a un effetto visivo dinamico e sorprendente, in contrasto con la semplicit\u00e0 apparente del disegno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
