The Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship presents original objects handcrafted during the second edition of its Homo Faber Fellowship programme.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This exhibition showcases original objects designed and handcrafted by 23 international duos \u2013 each comprising a master artisan and an emerging talent<\/strong> \u2013 who took part in the 2024\/25 edition of Homo Faber Fellowship.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A signature education programme of the Michelangelo Foundation, Homo Faber Fellowship pairs selected craft graduates \u2013 the \u2018fellows\u2019 \u2013 with master artisans across Europe for a seven-month sponsored professional integration programme<\/strong>. By bringing craftspeople together, the Fellowship facilitates creative collaboration, enables master artisans to pass down their skills to the next generation<\/strong>, and helps further the careers of emerging new talents.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This second edition features artisans of 20 nationalities working in 9 European countries across 18 crafts. Their unique objects are inspired by Art Deco<\/strong>, a theme chosen by the Fellowship\u2019s supporting partner Jaeger-LeCoultre. Among them, visitors will discover a \u2018knitted\u2019 lighting installation, a 3D mirror made of movable leather discs, and other fascinating pieces crafted using techniques including felting, puppetmaking, marble carving and willow weaving. Together, they demonstrate the power of collaboration and attest to the bright future of craft<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La mostra espone gli oggetti realizzati da 23 duo internazionali, composti da maestro artigiano e talento emergente, nell\u2019edizione 2024\/25 della Homo Faber Fellowship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Homo Faber Fellowship, un programma della Michelangelo Foundation, unisce laureati in artigianato<\/strong> (i \u201cfellow\u201d) e maestri artigiani in tutta Europa<\/strong> per un percorso di integrazione professionale di sette mesi. Facendo incontrare gli artigiani, la Fellowship facilita la collaborazione creativa, consente ai maestri di trasmettere competenze alle nuove generazioni e promuove la carriera di talenti emergenti<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La seconda edizione include artigiani di 20 nazionalit\u00e0 che portano avanti 18 mestieri in 9 Paesi europei. Le loro opere si ispirano all\u2019Art d\u00e9co<\/strong>, tema scelto da Jaeger-LeCoultre, partner sostenitore della Fellowship. I visitatori potranno ammirare un\u2019installazione luminosa fatta \u201ca maglia\u201d, uno specchio 3D composto da dischi in pelle mobili e tanti altri pezzi unici<\/strong> creati con tecniche come l\u2019infeltrimento, la costruzione di marionette, la lavorazione del marmo e l\u2019intreccio delle fibre di salice. Oggetti straordinari che rivelano il potere della collaborazione e il futuro brillante dell\u2019artigianato<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s Masters Meet Tomorrow\u2019s Talents fa parte della mostra collettiva della House of Switzerland Milano, che mette in luce l\u2019importanza della cooperazione nel design globale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
