This April, Anglepoise will mark 90 years since the launch of the Original 1227 Desk Lamp with an installation that pays tribute to the brand’s core values and signature playfulness.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

To mark the anniversary of the Original 1227 design, Anglepoise<\/strong> will unveil a new limited numbered edition of 400 pieces of the lamp<\/strong>, with a unique hand polished metal finish, hand-spun aluminium and contrasting brass components, complete with a burgundy twisted cord cable. The machined brass fork block will carry individually etched number on the back. There will also be a specially designed 90th Celebratory logo etched into one of the steps of the base. During Milan Design Week this new edition will be on display along with artefacts from the Anglepoise archive, illustrating the brand\u2019s storied history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visually unchanged since its introduction in the 1930s, the Original 1227 lamp<\/strong> remains a signature product – instantly recognizable as an Anglepoise. Since its creation, the lamp quickly gained iconic status; becoming admired world over and setting the standard by which other task lights are measured. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anglepoise will also be displaying its latest collection of iconic 90 Mini Mini lamps in three new vibrant and nostalgic colourways; inspired by the original, larger model’s first release – and ode to colour – in 1973. Marking a new chapter for the brand, the Model 90 introduced a vibrant range of colour to the Anglepoise portfolio<\/strong>, including one that later inspired Margaret Howell\u2019s Yellow Ochre coloured lamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per celebrare l'anniversario del design originale 1227, Anglepoise<\/strong> presenter\u00e0 una nuova edizione limitata e numerata di 400 pezzi della lampada<\/strong>, con un'esclusiva finitura in metallo lucidato a mano, alluminio filato a mano e componenti in ottone a contrasto, completa di un cavo intrecciato bordeaux. Il blocco forcella in ottone lavorato avr\u00e0 un numero inciso individualmente sul retro<\/strong>. Ci sar\u00e0 anche un logo celebrativo del 90\u00b0 anniversario appositamente progettato inciso su uno dei gradini della base. Durante la settimana del design di Milano questa nuova edizione sar\u00e0 esposta insieme ad artefatti dall'archivio Anglepoise, che illustrano la storia illustre del marchio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visivamente invariata dalla sua introduzione negli anni '30, la lampada Original 1227<\/strong> rimane un prodotto distintivo, immediatamente riconoscibile come Anglepoise.
