Collapsible furniture for people on the move.
Society is no longer viewed as a single entity, but rather a set of multiple, varied singularities. The modern home is also no longer a place of stability, but has become an adaptive fluid environment that must meet changing needs.
Today, people can be called ‘contemporary nomads’ and in fact, due to the flow of life, there is a growing need to change cities quickly: Paris, London, New York, where living spaces have become transitory for various reasons. Flats are small and space is limited, but this does not reduce our desire to be surrounded by beautiful furnishings that occupy little room and are easy to transport.
In an attempt to answer these challenges, ‘Mobile mobile’ is the theme presented at this Fuorisalone 2025, found at Caselli 11–12 in Milan.

In response to change, ‘Mobile mobile’ presented furnishings with an innovative design made with sustainable materials such as regenerated leather, FSC wood, and recycled aluminium. They were on display and for sale at CASELLI 11–12, as well as available for purchase online. Located in Piazzale Principessa Clotilde in the Porta Nuova neighbourhood, CASELLI 11–12 is an exhibition area for art projects and contemporary design.
‘Collapsible’ furniture opens for use and folds for easy transport, referring to any object that can be folded and opened. ‘Foldability’ is a design principle applied to many daily objects as human adaptations to a changing world. Their function and mobility are created by a need and are therefore changing, intermittent: closed, open, high, low. It is interesting to note that the etymology of the word ‘mobile’ derives from the Latin ‘mobilia’, which means ‘movable goods’, reinforcing the idea that flexibility is intrinsic to the implicit nature of home furnishings.
The name Mobile therefore expresses the mobile nature of the furniture, which is further improved by being collapsible.
